Drug charges land Kirksville man in jail

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A Kirksville man is in the Adair County Jail Sunday evening, after being brought in on a warrant out of Texas.

According to the Adair County Sheriff's Office, Darron Dean, 46, has been charged with possession of marijuana greater than four ounces but less than four pounds in a drug free zone, a felony 3 in Dallas County, Texas.

Local law enforcement officials discovered the warrant after pulling him over for speeding.

Dean is being held on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
