KIRKSVILLE,MO. -- If you haven't put up your Christmas tree yet, you can bid on one that's already decorated at the 2nd Annual Festival of Trees.

The event is being held at the Kirksville Arts Center. It is being hosted by the Kirksville Arts Association.

More than a dozen Christmas trees are on display. Each is decorated by local organizations. Organizers said MU Extension's Master Gardener's Christmas tree has a theme that is by far the most original.

"It depicts their artistic talents and it shows you can decorate a tree without a great deal of expense," said Linda Colton, of the Kirksville Arts Association. "They have dried flowers on it, and dried pepper seed packages."

Another Christmas tree, donated by Sweet Expressions, was made entirely out of popcorn.

The silent auction runs from Dec. 4 - Dec. 10. The trees will be on display until Dec. 17th. If you'd like to know the hours of the gallery, you can call the Kirksville Art Center. Their number is 660-665-0500.
