Alleged sex incident lands man in jail

KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI -- A northeast Missouri man is facing a felony sex charge following an alleged incident back in March.

Thomas Vanboening, 23, of Kirksville is charged with statutory sodomy. Police say the crime involved a 16-year-old male victim.

Vanboening was arraigned during a court appearance Wednesday afternoon. a motion to reduce bond is being considered by the judge.

Vanboening remains in jail on $25,000 cash only bond.
