KIRKSVILLE,MO. -- Representative Zachary Wyatt and the Alternate Route 63 Traffic Safety Commission will be hosting a public meeting in order to hear the thoughts and concerns of local citizens.

The meeting will be held at the Kirksville High School cafeteria on Tuesday, November 22 starting at 6:00 p.m.

The Alternate Route 63 Commission includes Harriet Beard, Bob Behnen, Randy Behrens, Jerry Caldwell, Kadie Campbell Johnson, Carol Kellum, Mike Labeth, Jack Magruder, Becky Osborn, Tony Paino, Nate Walker, Mark Thompson and Pat Williams.

Missouri Department of Transportation officials are expected to be in attendance to hear thoughts and concerns of the public as well.

Representative Wyatt says the new route could become very hazardous in the months to come.

" I like driving the bypass a lot of people like driving it, but it's the safety issues. It's a highway that could possibly become very deadly," Wyatt said.

Representative Wyatt and the Commission are hoping for a large public turnout on Tuesday evening.
