Unlawful weapons gets man arrested

SCOTLAND COUNTY, MO -- A northeast Missouri man is under arrest for two weapons charges and for a driving violation.

According to court documents, Jon Humphrey, 54, of Memphis is charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and one count of driving without a valid license.

Those charges were filed after a traffic stop made by a Missouri state trooper. Investigators say they found two rifles, several live rounds of ammunition and a large hunting knife in Humphrey's vehicle.

Court papers state Humphrey has two prior convictions for driving without a valid license. The suspect is being held on $50,000.00 bond.
