Blowout sends driver to Columbia hospital

NEAR MILLARD, MO. -- UPDATE: The Missouri State Highway Patrol identifies the driver as Dale Hartman, 37, of Clarence, Mo.

As of 7 p.m. Tuesday, Hartman was listed in "critical" condition at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

One person is seriously injured in a rollover crash on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened on Highway 63 one mile south of Millard, Mo.

Police and crews arrived on scene near Kirksville Regional Airport just before 3:00 p.m.

According to reporters from officers on scene, a cement truck, owned by Kirksville Concrete, was heading southbound on Highway 63.

The truck appeared to blow a tire, causing it to go off on the side of the road.

Local onlookers helped drag the driver out of the truck.

Air-Evac arrived on scene and transported the driver to a Columbia hospital.

The status of the driver is unknown at this time.
