KIRKSVILLE, MO -- The Salvation Army is in need of volunteers for bell ringing.
This is a wonderful project that churches, organizations, school groups, service clubs and families can get involved in.
Friday, November 18 kicks off the Christmas Campaign. Donation kettles will be placed outside of Wal-Mart, Hy-Vee, Walgreens, Westlakes and JCPenny stores.
There are two shifts starting at ten in the morning until four in the afternoon; and the other starting at four in the afternoon until eight in the evening.
Salvation Army Christmas Assistance sign up will continue through December 12. Volunteers can adopt a family and would need to bring their social security card, proof of residence and identification.
The Salvation Army is also in need of new toys, turkeys and canned foods during the holiday season.
