KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI -- U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, (R-MO), stopped in Kirksville Thursday to listen to constituents and make several stops around town.

He began his day attending the Kiwanis Club Luncheon at the Wooden Nickel Restaurant around noon. Then, he stopped by the new Complete Family Medicine office, and talked to Justin Puckett, D.O., about ObamaCare and what politicians needed to do to better serve the healthcare industry. Before he ended his day, Leutkemeyer attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for St. Rep. Zach Wyatt's (R-Novinger) new district office.

While following the congressmen on his visits, we took the time to ask him about the array of Republican presidential contenders and which one he's throwing his support behind.

"At this point, I'm not supporting any of them," said Congressman Luetkemeyer.  "I am supporting whoever is the nominee that comes out of this great group of candidates. I believe this race isn't necessarily going to be about our candidate. I think it's going to be about the President and his policies."

We also asked Luetkemeyer about his involvement in speeding up the process of obtaining visas for foreign investors involved in Moberly's botched Mamtek deal.

He said it's sad that the deal did not go through, but he added that his involvement with speeding up the company's application for the EB- 5 visa for immigrant investors was minimal and he thought it would help not just Moberly, but the entire region.
