Four charged with burglarizing Amish businesses

DRAKESVILLE, IOWA -- Four southeast Iowa suspects are in custody in connection with up to eight different burglaries in Davis County.

Davis County Sheriff's officials have arrested William Shepherd Jr., 38, Joshua Shaull,17, both of Drakesville, Daniel Stogdill, 21, of Bloomfield and Dalton Hormann, 19, of Ottumwa.

The four allegedly burglarized Amish properties and businesses in Davis County beginning October.

The Davis County Sheriff's Department continues its investigation and expects more charges to be filed.

Shepherd, Stogdill and Hormann are all in the Davis County jail on $5,000 cash only bond each.

Shaull is being held in a juvenile center.

Two burglaries occurred back in October and six burglaries occurred over this past weekend.
