KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Balls away..It's dodgeball time!
The Kirksville K-Life Ministries held their annual 6th annual Dodgeball Tournament. The day long event featured 41 teams.
The area director said the fundraiser was held to support K-Life's operating expenses.
"We try to focus our fundraisers on opportunities for kids to have a blast while at the same time we can make some money to help our ministry out," said Kevin Harrison, the Kirksville K-Life Area Director.
"I think what helps with dodgeball is that it's so focused on the kids and them having a blast. That's why we do the dodgeball tournament."
Dozens of local business were sponsors and contributed to the event. The Kirksville K-Life ministries hosts weekly youth nights and bible studies at their office on S. Jamison Street.
