KIRKSVILLE, MO. --
Students thank those who help them make a difference.

The SERVE Center at Truman State University held its second annual Community Partner Luncheon.

It recognized the community partners who help Truman students participate in volunteer activities in Kirksville.

Event Coordinator Lynn Dreisilker said this was the perfect way to say thank you to those who take the time out to help them make the community a better place.

“The partners they help us do volunteer work through out the community and it's very important to have that connection so we know that there are opportunities available so we can participate.”

During the luncheon they presented certificates of appreciation to their partners.

Dreisilker said it is very important for students to volunteer and reach out.

“It's very important for Truman students to participate in volunteer work so they can go out into the community, meet new people, and help out others in need.”
