OTTUMWA -- Two presidential candidates are scheduled to stop at the Bridge View Center this week.
As KTVO reported Thursday, Minnesota congresswoman and presidential candidate Michele Bachmann will be at the center on Saturday starting at 12:30 p.m. for a town hall meeting. Wapello County Republican Chair, Trudy Caviness says as candidates come to Ottumwa security can vary for the events.
If a sitting governor like Rick Perry stops by, you can bet there's more of a presence in security.
"The Texas Rangers are in charge of his security and so they have certain rules and regulations that they need done,” Caviness said. “We had the same thing when Governor Bush was here before he became president."
Texas congressman Ron Paul will be at the Bridge View Center on Tuesday Nov. 1 at 2:00 p.m. Caviness says the Republican Party is still working on deciding where they will host the caucus in Wapello County.
