KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI -- A local man is in the Adair County jail Monday evening after fighting with his girlfriend and allegedly ramming his car into hers.

According to the Kirksville Police Department, Lamarr Motley, 22, of Kirksville, has been charged with a Class C felony of tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree. According to his probable cause statement, Motley said he was fighting with his girlfriend Sunday night on North Franklin Street when things got ugly. He said his girlfriend slapped him in the face several times before he left the apartment.
