KIRKSVILLE,MO -- Members of the Kirksville High School Key Club will be trick-or- Treating for UNICEF in the Kirksville community on Sunday, October 16. They will be going door-to-door from 4:00-5:30 to collect money for UNICEF.

UNICEF was started in 1950 when a family in Pennsylvania started a nationwide movement to collect change in decorated milk cartons on Halloween to help children left vulnerable by World War II.  In 2001 members of Key Club International- the largest service program for high school students- began trick-or-treating for UNICEF.

The UNICEF Organization now provides vaccines across the world to those who are in desperate need, provides safe drinking water in areas where the water is unsafe to drink and food for the starving. Ultimately UNICEF is working in over 150 countries with a goal to help give all children the basics for a healthy, safe and educated childhood.
