MILAN, MISSOURI -- A Heartland man is behind bars following an assault that occurred in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

Justin Jacob, 29, of Milan, Missouri, is charged with domestic assault.

Court papers indicate that Jacob struck the victim several times in the head, before striking the victim with the door of the car.

 Jacob is being held in the Adair county jail under a $25,000 cash-only bond.
