DES MOINES, IOWA (AP) --
A new business designed to help college students track and share social events on and around campus has launched at seven campuses in Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin.
     
Fampus, the creation of Brittany Brody, a University of Wisconsin-Madison senior, plans to expand to as many as 300 schools.
     
The name from the company's motto: find fun fast on campus.
     
Students can long onto Fampus.com and check for their school by using their e-mail address ending in .edu.
     
Brody, a 22-year-old from Des Moines, says she came up with the idea in 2009 after finding she had little knowledge about what was going on around campus and the Madison, Wis., community.
     
Searches can be filtered by category, date, distance and cost and offers recommended events based on someone's likes and dislikes.
