NEAR GREENTOP, MO. -- UPDATE: The Adair County Sheriff's Office now knows the whereabouts of Randy Gray.
Since the release of information concerning the missing status of Gray, the Sheriff's Office received several calls concerning sightings of Gray in both Missouri and Iowa.
Early Tuesday morning, Gray's wife contacted the sheriff's office to notify them she had heard from her husband and that he was at a friend's home in Iowa.
According to the sheriff's office, they will continue to investigate this matter in regards to Gray's status as an Iowa non-complaint registered sex offender who may have been living in the state of Missouri in an effort to avoid registration.

A man who's accused of failing to register as a sex offender with the state of Iowa is missing in northeast Missouri.
The Adair County Sheriff's Office said Randy Scott Gray,49, of rural Greentop was last seen around 9:30 p.m. last Friday as he walked down Schuyler County Route AA toward Highway 63.
Gray's wife contacted the sheriff's office Sunday, reporting that she and her husband had been involved in an argument at their home on Route AA outside Greentop on Friday.
At the end of the argument, Randy Gray reportedly walked away from the residence and hasn't been seen since Friday night.
Gray is a non-compliant sex offender out of Iowa.
Authorities believe he moved to Missouri to escape his registration requirements.
