NOVINGER, MO. --
Seth Walters of the Adair County R-1 FFA took home championship ribbons with two steers at the Missouri State Fair.

Seth Walters, 18, of Novinger, received FFA Grand Champion Simmental in the 4-H/FFA Steer show at the 2011 Missouri State Fair on August 16. Seth is the son of Karyn and Shannon Walters.
KTVO spoke to Walters Thursday morning and said he was very surprised with the honors.
'I knew my steer was good. I didn't know how good he was though. I was surprised that I did that well. I wanted to do well. It was just really cool to be able to say I've accomplished that."
Walters is an active member of the Adair County R-1 FFA and has exhibited steers since he was eight years old.. Walters was awarded the State FFA degree last year for his accomplishments in the beef cattle industry.
