Police report: Critically injured officer was thrown 47 feet in accident

A Des Moines police traffic accident report says Officer Phoukham Tran, injured in a traffic accident Friday outside the Iowa State Fair, was thrown 47 feet from the approximate point of impact to where he finally came to rest.

Moberly man accused of making threats apologizes to prosecutor

A Moberly man accused of threatening two area prosecutors has been sentenced to probation, after writing an apology letter to Linn County Prosecutor Tracy Carlson and pleading guilty to a misdemeanor count of tampering with a witness.
