BLOOMFIELD, IOWA -- It was a Ford lovers delight at the Iowa Missouri Ford Club's 25th Annual Ford Powered Show held Sunday, Aug. 21 at the Davis County Fairgrounds.
The show featured a variety of Fords from the Model T to the 2012 Mustangs.
There were over 100 cars on display from Illinois, Nebraska, Missouri, and Iowa.
Model T owner John Hidy says his car still cruises at about 35 mph and can go as far as 250 miles in one day.
"It's easy to maintain and I also race this car. I go to antique hill climb and we race it uphill in the antique car class and I've gotten 3rd place in the T class with my car."
Hidy is selling the Model T for $5,000.
He says Model Ts are somewhat inexpensive because the three pedals make it difficult for most people to drive them.
Another highlight of the show was the Ford GT, a sports car sold between 2005 and 2006. It was built to compete against the Lamborghinis. The owner says he bought it for $150,000 18 months ago and says it's now worth about $175,000 because there are only about couple thousand of them left around the country.
The proceeds of the show will benefit students in the Indian Hills Community College Auto Tech Program.
