JEFFERSON CITY,MO -- Ameren Missouri announces Thursday they have filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking an Accounting Authority Order (AAO) related to its electric operations.  Ameren Missouri's application states that the electric company seeks an AAO addressing the company's accounting for fixed costs it has been unable to recover due to an ice storm that struck Southeast Missouri in late January 2009.

If granted, an AAO would allow the company to defer that fixed cost recovery on its books and to seek potential later recovery of those amounts in rates.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than August 8, 2011, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102 or electronically at
 www.psc.mo.gov.

Ameren Missouri serves approximately 1.2 million electric customers in Missouri.
