Two northeast Missouri parents who’ve been sought by law enforcement officials are now in custody.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests of Dawn Lough, 36, and Bryon Lough, 36. At 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Adair County Courthouse, Dawn and Bryon Lough, while in the presence of their attorney, surrendered themselves to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office.
Friday, the Loughs were located by law enforcement officials in Colorado. The Loughs were found with their three minor children who had been reported as missing from the residence of their grandparents in rural Adair County on Thursday, July 21.
The children had been placed in the custody of the grandparents by order of the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children's Division.
The children were safely taken into custody by authorities in Colorado, but law enforcement officials there failed to detain Dawn and Bryon Lough. The couple had been at-large since then. Local warrants for their arrests had been issued.
The Loughs were booked into the Adair County Detention Center Wednesday afternoon, where they are being held on multiple felony charges of Interference with Custody.
Bond for each is set at $10,000 cash only.
