KIRKSVILLE, MO -- The Adair County Public Library’s summer reading program ended Thursday with a 90 minute pool party.

The Kirksville Aquatic Center Partnered with the library on the festivities.

Despite the rainy weather, the kids got to enjoy going down the slide, jumping off the board, and of course cooling off from the summer heat in the pool.

In all 620 kids participate in the six week summer program. All of them reached the minimal goal of reading for 3 hours this summer while a good number read the library’s goal of 15 hours.
