ST. LOUIS, MO. -- The United States Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday that Gary Wayne Martin, 45, of Hannibal, Mo. was indicted by a federal grand jury on one felony count of production of child pornography. Martin was also indicted on two felony counts of possession of child pornography.
If convicted, production carries a penalty range of 15 to 30 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000; possession carries a range of 10 to 20 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000. In determining the actual sentences, a Judge is required to consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, which provide recommended sentencing ranges.
The case was investigated by the Hannibal Police Department and the Kirksville Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Rob Livergood is handling the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
