John Schwarz
KIRKSVILLE, MO -- A longtime Kirksville educator has passed away.
KTVO has learned that former KHS Band Director John Schwarz died Saturday night. He was in England visiting family members.
Kirksville R-3 Superintendent Pat Williams was contacted today by Schwarz's stepmother, who says he was found deceased in a hotel room. The cause of death has not been determined, but it appears he passed away in his sleep.
Schwarz was 66 years old.
He was involved with the Kirksville band for 30 years before retiring in 2007.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
