DES MOINES, IOWA (AP) -- A state prison inmate has been reported as an escapee after he failed to return from work release.

The Iowa Department of Corrections says Johnie Hill Jr.,24, didn't return to the Des Moines work-release facility on
Friday. He was transferred there in January from another prison facility.

Hill is serving a 10-year sentence for two counts of robbery out of Polk County. His sentence began in April 2004.
