Teen killed in two-vehicle crash

MONROE COUNTY, MO -- A Missouri teen lost his life in a car crash Friday afternoon.
    
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, William Holmes, 15, of Santa Fe
was killed as the result of a crash at US 24 and MO 15 in Monroe county around 3:30 p.m. Friday.
    
Holmes was the passenger in a vehicle driven by Matthew Harmon, 18, of Santa Fe.
    
Harmon attempted to cross the highway and drove into the path of Boyd Laird, 53, of Farber, Missouri, whose vehicle overturned.
    
Laird and Harmon both suffered minor injuries.
   
William Holmes was life flighted to University hospital in Columbia, where he later died in the surgical ICU.
