OTTUMWA, IOWA -- Hospice of Wapello and Davis County will be holding a fundraiser at the Pizza Hut on the north side of Ottumwa Tuesday evening.
The money raised will go toward purchasing new lawn care equipment for the facility.
“Pizza Hut has given us an opportunity to serve as wait staff; it’s called a tip night. We will be serving from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. The goal is to visit with the people and share with them what Hospice is about. All the money will go toward the lawn care equipment we will be purchasing,” said Vicki Proctor, Volunteer Coordinator with Hospice.
Hospice has been in there current facility for little more than a year now.
“This is our first time being a Pizza Hut North doing a fundraiser or tip night, and we are really excited,” said Proctor.
This is the first fundraiser for the facility. The facility is normally funded through patients insurance and donations made through family members of past patients.
If you would like to help out the Hospice here in Ottumwa, head on over to the Pizza Hut on the north side Tuesday evening between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
