Undercover drug buys lead to two arrests

SULLIVAN COUNTY, MO. -- Undercover drug buys lead to two arrests in a Sullivan County investigation.

Nicholas Montoya, 35, of Milan is jailed on a class a felony drug charge. Montoya is charged with distribution of a controlled substance in or near a park. 

According to Sullivan County Sheriff Roger Smily, undercover agents of the North Missouri Drug Task Force bought cocaine from Montoya as part of the investigation. In addition to the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office and North Missouri Drug Task Force, the Milan Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Missouri Department of Conservation assisted in the case. 

Montoya is being held in the Daviess-Dekalb Regional Jail under $50,000.00 cash only bond.

As a result of the investigation a second person was arrested at Montoya's residence. Kena Marie Flores Ramirez, 28, of Columbia was taken into custody and charged with possession of cocaine.

She is also being held in the Daviess-Dekalb Regional Jail, under $25,000.00 cash only bond.
