KIRKSVILLE -- It was tea time on Sunday afternoon for a number of Kirksville women.

The Kirksville Arts Center hosted the 5th annual tea. Ten ladies were chosen to decorate tables with different themes. A spider table, Christmas in June and real country living were just a few of the themes this year. The event was $15 a person. The annual tea is a fundraiser for the Kirksville Arts Association. The money goes towards local art programs, classes and restoration of the building.

"We would love to be able to finish remodeling the upper two floors and open them up to more classes. We got quite a few classes, but we have to juggle them between exhibits and other programs that we have and rentals so having the upstairs to us would be wonderful," said Kirksville Arts Association Board Member Sharon Pritchard.
