Northeast Regional holds an open house to show newly renovatied patient care tower
KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Promises were made and kept for patients at a Heartland hospital.
Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville has completed renovations in its patient surgical and medical areas on the third and fourth floors.
An open house was held Thursday to show off the improvements, which include new beds, new flooring, a fresh coat of paint and even new HD TVs and call systems.
Northeast Regional CEO Eric Barber says the goal was to match the hospital surroundings with the level of care that’s brought Northeast Regional national recognition.
“You know we've been named one of America's 50 Best Hospitals. We were recognized as Thomson-Reuters Top 100 and yet our facility, the aesthetics, didn't match up to the level of service we were providing,” said Barber.
Barber told us the project took about four months to complete and cost about $1 million.
