CANTRIL, IOWA -- Some Iowa residents will be getting a history lesson first hand this weekend.
People will be meeting in Cantril for the 27th annual Waubansie Trail Rendezvous. The event will showcase how people lived before 1840.
Visitors will get to learn techniques like knife throwing, shooting cannons, as well as bow and arrows. All of the events will be supervised. There will also be food and clothing vendors available.
Co-Director Stuart Rupe said its a unique way to learn about history.
"Its just a great history lesson. It shows what people lived like in pre-1840's. Its increased in size every year for the last three years. Last year we were at 40 camps. This year hopefully we'll be larger."
