The City of Ottumwa has notified KTVO that a press conference is scheduled for Wednesday morning to discuss a state audit of the Ottumwa Transit Authority.

A previous audit of OTA found several violations of the Federal and State rules governing OTA's operation.

Most of the violations concerned OTA arranging transportation for students and elderly residents that apparently kept OTA buses from being used by the general public.

On Wednesday morning, the Iowa Department of Transportation is expected to address the city's response to the original audit.

KTVO will be at the press conference and we will post the details as soon as possible.
