MILAN, MO. -- A massive fire ripped through a Northeast Missouri business overnight.

The fire broke out around 12:30 Monday morning at the Milan Livestock Market off Business Highway 5.

A Milan firefighter called in the blaze after driving by.

Crews from Green City, Green Castle and Milan responded to find the entire building engulfed in flames.

Fire crews were busy trying to keep the flames from spreading, as well as keeping nearby propane tanks from exploding.

Firemen were able to get things under control around 4:00 Monday morning.

There were no injuries or deaths to live stock during the blaze.

The main arena is considered a loss. Two other structures received significant damage.

Milan Fire Chief Rick Garner told KTVO that the Missouri Fire Marshalls Office and the ATF were on scene Monday morning.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
