BLOOMFIELD, IOWA -- Students in Davis County got a chance to exercise their body, mind, and donate food all at once.

Activities included and egg race, bowling, hockey, and trivia games. They also held a food drive to give back to the community. Teams get points for events and food donations, and almost two truckloads of food were donated.

Principal Ryan Woods said its not your ordinary day in the classroom.

"Its one of the few days where the entire school comes together. We're not divided up by grade level. It's that thing of how to work together, how to work as a team, how to solve problems. It's a great educational day."

The donated food will go to the Lords Cupboard Charity.
