Michael Adkins
LA PLATA, MO. -- The Macon County Sheriff's Office responded to an incident involving shots being fired last Friday morning in the 300 block of South Gex Street in La Plata.
Officers arrived on the scene around 5:30 on the morning of May 6th. They were able to determine that a high powered rifle was used to shoot at and through a residence that was occupied. No one was injured during the incident.
After an investigation, Michael Adkins, 21, of La Plata was charged with Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Property Damage in the First Degree and Assault in the Third Degree.
Adkins was taken into custody without incident at his residence in La Plata. He is currently being held in the Macon County Jail on a $9900 Cash Only Bond and arraignment is scheduled for May 27th in the Macon County Associate Circuit Court.
The Macon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the La Plata Police Department during the investigation.
