The Civil War reenactment and Battle of Kirksville scheduled in Harris, Missouri over the weekend ran into a number of problems.
Friday’s events were canceled due to inclement weather. According to a source at the event site Sunday, only a few events were held on Saturday. Sunday’s events were completely canceled.
The Battle of Kirksville’s website www.battleofkirksville.com released a statement Sunday, blaming the cancelation on bad field conditions due to strong rains and winds.
KTVO attempted to contact event coordinator Bill Sterling numerous times, but could not reach him for comment.
Tickets for the event were 15 dollars.
