Billie Tyree
BEVIER, MO --
Authorities have located a registered sex offender who was evading the law.
Billie Tyree, 77, of Bevier is a sex offender on parole for second degree statutory sodomy and second degree statutory rape.
Authorities went to check on him on April 8 after he missed several appointments as a condition of his parole. They were unable to locate him, but found a suicide note that he left behind.
Bank records showed Tyree had been in Brookfield, Moberly, Kirksville and Columbia since April 1.
Macon County Sheriff's deputies found Tyree at his residence in Bevier Saturday night. He's being held in the Macon County Jail on $10,000 cash only bond.
