AKRON, IOWA (AP) --
A girl has been hospitalized after being attacked by two dogs in rural Akron.
The Plymouth County Sheriff's Office identified the victim of Wednesday's attack as Breanna Buenger,10. She's being treated at an Omaha, Neb., hospital for bites to her head and neck. Her condition was not released.
The sheriff's office says the girl was playing in the yard of a home where she and her mother were staying in rural Akron when she was mauled by two pit bulls. The dogs belonged to the home owner. The animals have been taken to an animal clinic for observation.
