KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A northeast Missouri teen is in custody in connection with the discovery of methamphetamine at a Kirksville residence.

Crystal Estes, 18, of Kirksville is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, after, according to a court document, a syringe and a small plastic bag found in her purse field tested positive for meth.

Estes told Kirksville police the purse wasn't hers, even though officers found pictures of her and a letter addressed to her inside the handbag.

Estes is being held in the Adair County Jail on $25,000 cash only bond.
