Family hopes synthetic-drug ban can be Indianola teen's legacy

The late David Rozga, an 18-year-old athlete and band standout from Indianola, on Wednesday became the face of a national fight to make illegal a new batch of man-made designer drugs sold in retail shops.

Lawmakers sent a one-year transportation budget to Gov. Terry Branstad’s office Wednesday, which faces the likelihood of a veto by the governor.

Another parent alleges abuse on bus

The number of parents alleging child abuse on a Keokuk school bus for special needs children has grown by one, according to Steve Bryant, who is called Eddie by his friends and on the Facebook page, “Petition to have suspected abuser removed.”
