Kirksville Band takes top honors at festival

KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI -- The Kirksville High School Band performed at MSHSAA State Large Ensemble Festival on Saturday, March 26 at Hannibal LaGrange College.

The band received 1 ratings from each judge for a composite 1 Rating of Superior. The band played Emblem of Unity March by J.J. Richards and Flights of Passage by Kent Rausch. 

The Kirksville Percussion Ensemble also received a 1 Rating at the State Festival.  The Percussion Ensemble played The Thunderer by John Philip Sousa and Level 7 Encounter by Ray Flores. 

Brad Hudson is the Director of Bands, Karen Harrison is Assistant Director of Bands, and Paul Hadwiger is the Percussion Instructor.
