WOODSTOCK, ILL. -- A fugitive wanted for a brutal assault in Kirksville is now in custody.
Investigators announced Thursday that Larry Pranger Sr., 41, of Kirksville, was apprehended in Woodstock, Ill., after a joint investigation by the Woodstock Police Department, the Kirksville Police Department and the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
Pranger is the suspect in a March 14 assault of a 20-year-old Kirksville man.
He is accused of attacking and seriously injuring the victim with a crowbar.
Pranger is also charged with unrelated crimes in Illinois.
