School band shines in K.C.

KANSAS CITY -- It was a special St. Patrick’s Day Thursday for students from one Heartland school.

The Novinger Cadet marching band made a trip to Kansas City for an appearance in the Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day parade. 

The band represented the Heartland well, taking second place in the band competition. The 60 member band was asked to march in what is one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day parades in the nation.
