MARCELINE, MO. -- Walsworth Publishing Company in Marceline has announced the addition of nearly $3 million in printing equipment to its facility. The equipment will go into the company’s Printing and Bindery Facility allowing the company to offer a broader range of products to its customers. The company expects to add more than ten new full-time jobs in Marceline related to the move.
“The substantial investment Walsworth Publishing is making in its finishing facility demonstrates our long-term commitment to the Marceline area,” Don Walsworth, Walsworth Publishing’s CEO, said. “Walsworth is not only committed to serving our customers; we are also committed to the people who live right here.”
The significant capital investment and job creation will take place in the Marceline/Bucklin Enhanced Enterprise Zone, and will qualify the company for tax credits over the next five years.
“We have known for many years that Walsworth Publishing Company is a pillar in our community and have watched the company expand time after time in Marceline. This expansion once again shows their commitment to keep Marceline and other surrounding facilities on the cutting edge of the printing industry,” said Darrell Gardner of the Marceline Industrial Development Authority.
Company officials and community leaders will gather at the facility in Marceline on Friday to officially announce the investment.
