Judge appointed

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has named a new judge to take over the 41st Circuit that includes Macon and Shelby counties. 

Nixon appointed Macon attorney Frederick “Rick” Tucker to the position. Tucker will succeed Hadley Grimm who announced his retirement as judge of the circuit back in December, has been filling in until a new judge was appointed. 

Tucker, a Democrat, has operated a private law practice in Macon since 2004. He has previously served as prosecuting Attorney for the city of Macon, and Macon and Randolph counties. 

Tucker earned his law degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City, School of Law.
