KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI -- If you’re looking for some exercise and an opportunity to give to a good cause, the Adair County Family YMCA "Fund" Run is for you!

As part of their “Strong Kids Campaign,” the run will help ensure that everyone who wants to join the YMCA is able to, regardless of their income.

“It just raises money to put towards membership assistance so that we don't have to turn away anyone in the community,” said Brittni Garver, YMCA Program Director.

The March 26 event is a 5K and 1.5 mile run/walk. It begins at nine a.m., and has a registration fee of $15.

“Last year, we gave away over $30,000 of membership assistance, so we're hoping to raise a lot of money from March 1st to April 4th in the Strong Kids Campaign," Brittni said.
