BRASHEAR, MISSOURI -- The process to fill Brashear School District Superintendent Don Wilburn’s place has officially begun.
Wilburn will be moving to the South Harrison School District, a much larger school district, for next school year. To view previous story, click here.
The school board began advertising the open position March 9, online. They will also put an ad in the local paper.
“We would like to [fill the position] as soon as possible because the longer you go, people will be taking jobs other places, just like our superintendent accepted one at another location," said Brad Smith, School Board President.
So, what are they looking for?
“A school our size tends to be a first step for a lot of administrators and hopefully we can find somebody with some administrative experience, and I would like to see somebody comfortable with a budget,” Smith said.
Smith said the school district is in good financial shape, which will be attractive to candidates. They will accept applications until four p.m., March 21.
