LEWISTOWN, MO. -- The Kirksville Police Department's latest Fugitive of the Week has been captured, and now she's accused of committing even more crimes.

Diane Thompson, 23, of Kirksville is charged with two counts of first-degree burglary in Lewis County.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office arrested her Thursday in connection with reported thefts at the Lewistown Senior Housing Complex.

Investigators say last month, Thompson knocked on several tenants' doors, asking to use the restroom.

The residents allowed her to come inside their apartments.

Once Thompson left, the tenants said they discovered small amounts of money missing.

The suspect is currently under the supervision of the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole.

Anyone with further information about this type of activity involving Thompson is asked to call the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office at (573) 767-5287.

Thompson was already wanted on an Adair County arrest warrant in connection with a first-degree burglary case in Kirksville that she had pleaded guilty to last November.

Thompson is being held in the Lewis County Jail on $50,000 cash only bond.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Kirksville Police Department and the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole.
