Gas prices continue to rise

KIRKSVILLE, MO -- The average price for a gallon of gasoline continues to rise. 

The average price per gallon in Missouri has risen $.038 per gallon over the past week, averaging out at $3.000 per gallon, an all-time high for the month of February.

A similar trend can be found in the Hawkeye State.  Iowans are paying and average of $3.21 per gallon, up $.087 from just last week.

Wherever you buy it, gas is substantially more expensive now than it was a year ago.  According to GasBuddy.com the national average has increased $.077 per gallon during the last month and stands $.517 per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
